Mekatelyu es una banda centroamericana de reggae roots latino formada en San José Costa Rica desde 1999. Su nombre significa Make I Tell You, que en español es Déjame Decirte, además así se llama al Dialecto criollo de la provincia Caribeña de Limón.
Su estilo musical es muy original y combina el reggae roots con diferentes corrientes musicales. La banda cuenta con 5 álbumes, varios de ellos premiados con importantes galardones y ha realizado varias giras internacionales en Europa, Argentina, México y Centroamérica
Mekatelyu is a Central American roots reggae band formed in San Jose Costa Rica since 1999. Its name means Make I Tell You, and its so also called the Creole dialect of the Caribbean province of Limon.
The musical style combines reggae roots with different musical latin rythms.
The band has realeased 5 albums, several of them with important awards. Also Mekatelyu has participated in important international festivals around the world in Europe, Argentina, Mexico and Central America.
